Short answer: For Japan, choose an influencer partner by how the work gets done, not by the size of its creator database. Japanese marketplaces such as toridori marketing (Instagram and TikTok), Find Model and Cast Me! connect brands with registered Japanese influencers. Data tools such as kamui tracker and BitStar Database analyze Japanese YouTube and social channels. Managed agencies such as UUUM run campaigns for you. Global software such as Modash and HypeAuditor helps teams that already work in Japanese. Public prices range from free trials to ¥300,000 a month for tools; managed campaigns are quoted individually. This guide doesn't rank them.
Why database size isn't the decision
Almost every provider quotes a large number: registered influencers, indexed channels or profiles. Those numbers measure different things, are reported by the companies themselves, and say little about whether the right Japanese creators for your product will reply, test it properly and publish on time. For an overseas brand, four questions usually decide the choice:
- Which channels matter? For gadgets, YouTube is usually the strongest creator channel in Japan (channel guide), while some Japanese marketplaces focus on Instagram and TikTok.
- Who will do the Japanese-language work? Messaging creators, negotiating, writing briefs and checking scripts all happen in Japanese.
- Where are the samples? Someone has to ship units within Japan, track loans and collect them.
- Who handles disclosure? Sponsored content must be labeled as advertising in Japan, and the advertiser is responsible. See sponsored content, editorial coverage and seeding in Japan.
How we selected and checked these services
On 18 October 2026 we checked each service's official website, pricing page and recent company releases. We included services with verifiable activity and clear relevance to brands running campaigns in Japan, and left out names we couldn't verify. Figures such as creator counts are the companies' own statements; we attribute them and haven't verified them. Prices are quoted as published on that date; most are in yen, and tax treatment is noted where it is stated. This is not a ranking, and none of the third-party services paid to be included.
Gloture, the publisher of this article, is a Japanese product PR company that also runs creator campaigns, and it operates Afterbee, a tool described separately below (see our company profile).

Japanese marketplaces
toridori marketing (toridori Inc.) describes itself as a matching platform with more than 90,000 registered influencers, available from ¥50,000 a month, for Instagram and TikTok (toridori marketing, in Japanese). It suits brands running Japanese Instagram or TikTok campaigns in-house. YouTube isn't listed, so it is a weak fit if your gadget needs long-form reviews. The site and workflow are in Japanese.
Find Model (Social Wire group) offers managed casting with a dedicated staff member for planning, casting, posting and reporting. It says on its site (October 2026) that it has more than 13,800 registered influencers and over 19,000 cumulative projects, across Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube, and accepts managed projects from ¥200,000 (Find Model, in Japanese; tax treatment not stated). Its self-service Find Model Circle, where companies post offers and manage applicants themselves, was announced at ¥50,000 a month before tax (Social Wire, April 2025, in Japanese). A published minimum makes early budgeting easier.
Cast Me! (PLAN-B) presents itself as a platform for managing influencer marketing in one place, using past PR results and per-influencer performance data to select creators, with a customer success team. PLAN-B says more than 3,500 companies had used it by June 2026 (PLAN-B, July 2026, in Japanese). We found no published prices, channel list or influencer count on its official pages. Expect a Japanese-language sales process.
Japanese data and discovery tools
kamui tracker (EVIRY) is a Japanese YouTube analytics tool. EVIRY says it covers more than 300,000 channels with at least 1,000 subscribers, and offers a free trial. It also runs kamui connect, a service that handles creator selection, negotiation and measurement (kamui tracker, in Japanese). It is built specifically for Japanese YouTube research, so it covers YouTube only and works in Japanese.
BitStar Database comes from BitStar, which is also an influencer agency. BitStar says the database holds more than 3 million data records, including over 300,000 records of tie-up and PR videos, useful for seeing what competitors have sponsored. The Premium plan is ¥300,000 a month before tax, after a three-day free trial of premium features (BitStar Database, in Japanese). It suits agencies and brands that run campaigns continuously; for one launch, the monthly price is high.
AnyTag (AnyMind Group) describes itself as an influencer marketing platform for the Asia-Pacific region, to discover, activate, manage, track and attribute campaigns. AnyMind says it covers more than 750,000 influencers, and offers consultants alongside the software (AnyTag). It suits brands running campaigns in several Asian markets. Pricing isn't published.
Managed agencies and creator networks
UUUM, a YouTube-rooted creator network now wholly owned by Freakout Holdings, runs brand campaigns across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and X, including casting, planning, production and reporting (UUUM, in Japanese). It lists consumer electronics among client industries, doesn't publish prices, and says video promotions typically need about one and a half to two months. UUUM's own sites give different creator counts, so compare channels, not totals.
Several other Japanese companies combine tools with managed services: BitStar's agency team, Find Model's managed casting and AnyMind's consultants. Managed services reduce your workload, but you pay for that in fees, and you depend on the agency's creator relationships. For what those fees typically look like, see what Japanese YouTubers charge for sponsored videos.
Global software with Japan data
Modash is self-service discovery and campaign software for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Its pricing page lists Essentials at US$199 a month and Performance at US$499 a month, both shown with annual totals, and Enterprise from US$14,700 a year, with a 14-day free trial and no card required (Modash pricing). It lets you filter by audience location, including Japan; audience location is the vendor's estimate. Modash says its database includes more than 380 million creator profiles. The interface is in English, but outreach to Japanese creators still needs Japanese.
HypeAuditor offers discovery, audience analytics and fraud detection, with a Japanese-language site. It says it covers more than 227 million accounts across Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X and Twitch (HypeAuditor). Its authenticity checks are useful for vetting creators found elsewhere. Pricing is through sales, with some free tools.
Meltwater Influencer Marketing, formerly Klear, which Meltwater acquired in 2021, offers discovery, bot detection, outreach, gifting, payments and reporting (Meltwater). It suits large teams already using Meltwater. We found no Japan-specific creator claims, and pricing is on request.
YouTube's own tool
YouTube Creator Partnerships, formerly BrandConnect, lets advertisers discover creators for brand deals through Google Ads. Japan is among the countries where creators can take part (YouTube Help). YouTube hasn't said in which markets the advertiser-side search is available, so check your own Google Ads account.

When self-service is the better choice
Self-service usually wins when someone on your team works in Japanese, you already know some creators and need data to vet them, or you run campaigns often enough for a subscription to pay off. Managed services make more sense when you have no one in Japan, need several creators on a fixed date, or have complicated sample logistics. For the trade-offs in detail, see self-service platforms vs managed campaigns.
A related tool: Afterbee (operated by Gloture)
Afterbee is operated by Gloture, the publisher of this article (listed on our company profile), so it isn't an independent recommendation. It is a free, invite-based public beta that takes a product page and lists YouTube reviewers in Japanese-, English- and German-language markets, with each channel's recent video titles, dates and views, and whether it lists a public business contact (Afterbee). In its own October 2026 checks on five test products, it found 4 to 23 relevant Japanese reviewers with 30,000+ subscribers per product, and it says to expect a short list rather than a full mailing list. It doesn't email creators, handle shipping or payments, report results or provide audience-geography data, and creator sign-up isn't open yet. It is a research tool for building a shortlist, not a campaign platform.
How to choose
A six-step selection framework
- 11
Channel
- YouTube for products that need explaining
- 22
Language
- Who writes and negotiates in Japanese?
- 33
Price
- Access vs creator fees, samples, rights
- 44
Vetting
- Recent views, audience, fraud checks
- 55
Disclosure
- Labels written in and checked
- 66
Test
- Free trial or one campaign first
- Start from the channel. For gadgets that need explaining, start with YouTube-capable services.
- Decide who does the Japanese work. If no one on your team writes Japanese, prefer managed options, or pair a tool with a partner in Japan.
- Check what the price includes. A subscription buys access; creator fees, samples, shipping and usage rights are separate.
- Ask how creators are vetted. Look for recent views, audience data and fraud checks, and check them yourself on YouTube.
- Confirm disclosure handling. Ask how sponsored posts are labeled and checked before publication.
- Test before you commit. Use free trials, and run one campaign before a long contract.
Where Gloture fits
Gloture isn't a software platform. We run Japanese YouTuber campaigns for overseas consumer brands as part of our product PR work: shortlisting channels by recent views and category fit, Japanese briefs with disclosure in the terms, samples in Japan and checks before publication. If a self-service tool and your own team are the better fit, we'll say so. Creator campaigns are quoted on request, and Product PR in Japan starts from US$2,500. We don't guarantee views or sales. For typical market costs by creator tier, see the Japan PR Cost Estimator, or start a Japan PR Review.
Frequently asked questions
Which influencer platform is best for Japan?
There is no independent comparison that settles it, so this guide doesn't rank them. For YouTube gadget reviews, look at YouTube-capable data tools or managed agencies. For Instagram and TikTok campaigns run in Japanese, Japanese marketplaces are designed for that work.
Can we use global tools such as Modash for Japanese creators?
Yes, for discovery: Modash lets you filter by audience location, including Japan. The outreach, negotiation and briefs still have to happen in Japanese, which is where many overseas teams need help.
Are creator counts on these platforms comparable?
No. Each company counts differently: registered influencers, indexed channels or database profiles. Compare the creators who actually fit your product, not the totals.
