What’s included

One package. Everything below.

Not included

  • YouTube creator campaigns, sponsored articles or other paid placements (available separately on request)
  • Advertising
  • Product samples, shipping, customs and insurance (billed at cost, only if you approve them first)
  • Import, distribution or retail sales in Japan
  • We write your Japanese press release

Gloture turns your product materials into a Japanese product story and press release, written for Japanese editors rather than translated. Nothing goes out until you approve it.

  • We distribute it and pitch relevant media

We distribute the press release and pitch the outlets in our network of 300+ Japanese media contacts that fit your product category. Not every contact receives every release, and each outlet decides what it publishes.

  • Guaranteed coverage: 20 outlets, 30 if unmet at Day 60

Publication or republication of your product by at least 20 distinct qualifying Japanese media outlets. If fewer than 20 have published by Day 60, the minimum rises to 30. How it’s counted is explained below.

  • We report what’s published

An initial coverage report at Day 10, then reports listing every counted outlet with a link or other evidence. Pitches sent are not counted; only publications are.

  • We pitch TV and magazines where it fits

Where it fits your product, we introduce it to relevant Japanese TV programmes and magazines and coordinate any interest. These features are not guaranteed.

  • We follow up on later TV & magazine requests

TV, magazine and other major media requests can arrive months or years later. When one about your product reaches us, we contact you and coordinate it, with no additional Gloture service fee, for as long as Gloture runs its media-relations service. This follows up real opportunities; it isn’t continuous pitching, and features aren’t guaranteed. Samples, shipping and customs are yours, billed only with your approval.

The coverage guarantee

20 outlets. Not 20 links, not 20 emails.

The standard Product PR package guarantees publication or republication of your product by at least 20 distinct qualifying Japanese media outlets.

What counts
A Japanese media outlet that publishes or republishes a story introducing your product, which can be checked publicly, as a result of this campaign.
Each outlet counts once
Several articles on the same outlet count as one. The same story republished by different outlets counts once for each outlet, so the 20 are distinct outlets publishing or republishing your story, not necessarily 20 original reviews.
What doesn’t count
Social media shares, search results, advertising and emails sent to journalists. TV and magazine features are not part of the 20.
Evidence for each one
Every counted outlet appears in your report with a link, screenshot or copy. Any paid placement is labelled as paid, never as independent coverage.
  1. Start

    PR commencement

The day you’ve supplied the essential materials and approved the press release, and we’ve begun the work. We confirm it in writing. It is not the payment date.

  2. Day 10

    Initial coverage report

You see which qualifying outlets have published. If fewer than 20, outreach continues without any additional service fee.

  3. Day 60

    The guarantee rises to 30

If fewer than 20 qualifying outlets have published by Day 60, the guaranteed minimum increases to 30, at no charge.

  4. After

    No expiry

Outreach and follow-up continue until the 20 (or 30) outlets are reached. The guarantee doesn’t lapse on a fixed date.

Days don’t run while we wait for materials or approvals we’ve asked you for in writing, or while you ask us to pause or hold an embargo.

Reaching fewer outlets by Day 10 or Day 60 doesn’t by itself mean a refund: the agreed remedy is continued work and, at Day 60, the higher guarantee. Your rights under mandatory law and for material non-performance by Gloture are not affected.

Read the standard agreement

What no one can guarantee

  • Coverage in any particular outlet
  • TV broadcasts
  • Magazine features
  • Sales or revenue
  • Kickstarter or Indiegogo pledges
  • Retail distribution
  • Return on investment

Editors decide what they publish. The guarantee is an outlet count, not a promise about any one publication.

Who it’s for

Built for products Japanese media can show.

This package is designed for consumer products, gadgets, technology, lifestyle products, and eligible crowdfunding campaigns looking for coverage in Japan.

  • Crowdfunding campaigns welcome

Live or upcoming Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns from overseas are welcome, even if the product isn’t sold in Japan yet.

  • No Japanese entity needed

You don’t need a Japanese company, distributor or Japanese-language website. Send your materials in English; we write the Japanese.

  • Check with us first

If your product is regulated in Japan, for example medical or health claims, cosmetics, supplements, or wireless devices that need Japanese certification, email us before you buy and we’ll confirm we can promote it as described. info@gloture.co.jp

PR doesn’t give permission to import or sell a product in Japan: compliance with Japanese rules stays with you. We don’t promote products that are unlawful or unsafe to sell or advertise in Japan.

How it works

Four steps. No call needed.

  1. Buy your PR package

Review the agreement, enter your billing details, sign and pay securely.

  2. Share your product details

Submit the product page or campaign URL, description, images and other PR materials, immediately or later.

  3. Our team runs your PR

We write the Japanese story, send it to you for approval, distribute it and pitch relevant Japanese media.

  4. Receive your coverage report

Review the published coverage and ongoing follow-up according to the agreement.

Your PR timeline begins when the required materials are ready and the agreed commencement conditions are met—not automatically when you pay.

Track record

Real products. Real Japanese coverage.

Three products Gloture introduced to Japan, as covered by independent Japanese media. Each card links to the original page, so you can check it yourself.

Past work for different products and scopes, not a forecast of your results. These outlets are independent of Gloture and don’t endorse it.

Since 2015 · 2,000+ press releases · 170+ magazine features · 50+ TV features
From Gloture’s company records, not an audited total.

Gloture also operates Modern-G, a Japanese product discovery site. Because it’s our own media, we never present it as independent coverage, and Modern-G features are not part of this package.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Can I promote a Kickstarter or Indiegogo campaign?

Yes. Live and upcoming campaigns are welcome, including overseas campaigns for products not yet sold in Japan. If your campaign ends soon, send your materials and approve the press release quickly after payment: outreach starts only once that’s done. Coverage before your campaign closes can’t be guaranteed, but coverage published after it ends still counts towards the guarantee.

Can I promote a product that isn’t sold in Japan yet?

Yes. Many products we’ve introduced weren’t on sale in Japan yet. PR doesn’t give permission to import or sell in Japan, so any Japanese rules for your product remain your responsibility.

What products are suitable for this package?

Consumer products, gadgets, technology, lifestyle products and eligible crowdfunding campaigns. If your product is regulated in Japan, for example health or medical claims, cosmetics, supplements or wireless devices needing Japanese certification, email info@gloture.co.jp before buying and we’ll confirm.

Do I need a Japanese company or Japanese-language materials?

No. English materials are fine: Gloture writes the Japanese story and press release, and you approve it before it’s distributed. The agreement is in English and you pay in US dollars.

What exactly does US$2,500 include?

A Japanese press release, distribution and outreach to the relevant outlets in our network of 300+ Japanese media contacts, publication by at least 20 distinct qualifying Japanese outlets (30 if fewer than 20 by Day 60), coverage reports, TV and magazine outreach where it fits, and ongoing TV and magazine follow-up. Any applicable tax is added and shown before you sign. Samples, shipping and paid placements are not included.

What does the guarantee of 20 Japanese media outlets mean?

At least 20 different Japanese media outlets publish or republish a story about your product. Each outlet counts once, however many pages it publishes; social shares, ads, search results and emails sent don’t count, and TV and magazine features aren’t part of the 20. Republications count: these are 20 different outlets publishing or republishing your story, not necessarily 20 original reviews. Each counted outlet is listed in your report with evidence.

When will I see the first results?

You receive an initial coverage report 10 days after PR commencement: the day you’ve supplied the essential materials and approved the press release, and we’ve begun the work. We confirm that date in writing; it isn’t the payment date. Days don’t count while we wait for materials or approvals we’ve asked you for, or while you ask us to pause.

What happens if fewer than 20 outlets publish?

Outreach continues without any additional service fee. If fewer than 20 have published by Day 60, the guaranteed minimum rises to 30, at no charge, and the work continues until it’s reached. Missing the Day 10 or Day 60 numbers doesn’t by itself mean a refund.

Are YouTube videos, TV appearances or magazine coverage included?

We pitch suitable products to Japanese TV programmes and magazines, and if one asks about your product later, even years later, we follow up and coordinate it with no extra Gloture service fee. These features are never guaranteed and don’t count towards the 20 outlets. YouTube creator campaigns are a separate service, quoted on request.

Do I need to provide physical product samples?

Not to buy. Some TV, magazine or review opportunities need a sample; you cover the shipping and other third-party costs, and Gloture bills any expense only with your prior approval, at cost.

What happens immediately after payment?

Your payment is confirmed on screen and by email, and you can download your invoice and signed agreement as PDFs. Then submit your product page or campaign URL, description and images straight away, or choose “Submit Later”: we email you a private link to come back any time. Our team is notified when you pay and when you submit, reviews your materials and contacts you about next steps; for questions, email info@gloture.co.jp.

Can I see the agreement before I pay, and how do I sign?

Yes: the standard agreement is published on this site. When you buy, you enter your company details, review the full agreement with your amounts, and sign by typing your name. Gloture records the signature with a fingerprint of the exact text and gives you a PDF copy.

Can I cancel or receive a refund?

If you cancel before we’ve started genuine work on your campaign, you get a refund, less any third-party costs you approved that can’t be recovered. After that, fees are generally non-refundable if you cancel. Your rights under mandatory law, and remedies if Gloture materially fails to deliver, including the guaranteed coverage, are not affected (agreement section 9).
