Short answer: COMPUTEX 2027 runs from June 1 to 4, 2027 in Taipei, across TaiNEX 1 and 2 in Nangang, TWTC Hall 1 and TICC. It is a trade show for computing, AI hardware, components, networking and gaming products, and COMPUTEX 2026 reported 111,312 buyers and visitors from 152 countries and regions. Unlike most large shows, TAITRA publishes its 2027 international booth rates: from US$3,340 for 9 m² of raw space at TWTC to US$4,540 for a shell-scheme booth in Nangang, VAT included. Startups founded after 2019 can apply to InnoVEX, the startup area, which has its own prices.

Dates, venues, rates and the timeline come from the official COMPUTEX 2027 application kit (TAITRA, 2027 application kit). The kit notes that dates are subject to change.

What COMPUTEX covers

COMPUTEX is an ICT show. The 2027 application kit lists these exhibition areas: Advanced Communication & Networking; AI Computing & Services; System Integration; International Exhibitors Area; Components & Power; Storage; Semiconductors & Hospitality Suites; InnoVEX; Robotics; Unmanned Vehicle; Industrial AI; Consumer & Gaming Products; ePaper; and Data Center & Energy Infrastructure.

The organizer may refuse products it considers "irrelevant or improper to the ICT industry" (TAITRA, 2027 application kit). That rule matters for consumer brands: a laptop accessory, gaming peripheral or AI device fits; a kitchen appliance, pet product or lifestyle item without a computing angle does not.

Audience and figures

The organizer's closing release for COMPUTEX 2026 reported 111,312 buyers and visitors from 152 countries and regions (organizer release as reported by DPEX Network, June 2026). TAITRA's post-show report gives about 1,500 exhibitors using 6,000 booths (COMPUTEX 2026 post-show report). The organizer listed Japan first among visitor origins, followed by the US, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, India, Thailand and Malaysia (COMPUTEX release, October 2026, in Japanese).

These are organizer-reported figures, not audited counts. No media attendance figure was published.

COMPUTEX is a professional show. Earlier visitor pages say visitors under 18 are not admitted (InnoVEX visitor information), and JETRO's trade fair database lists it as trade only (JETRO J-messe). The 2027 visitor rules and fees are not yet published, so check them before telling buyers how to register.

2027 booth rates and what they include

COMPUTEX sells booths in units of 3m x 3m (9 m²). The 2027 rates for international exhibitors, VAT included, are (TAITRA, 2027 application kit):

Venue Raw space, per booth Shell scheme, one booth Shell scheme, two booths
TaiNEX 1 & 2 (Nangang) US$4,190 US$4,540 US$9,030
TWTC US$3,340 US$3,690 US$7,330

Shell scheme adds US$350 for one booth. It includes partition walls, carpet for 9 m², a fascia board with your name, a lockable cupboard, a glass round table, three folding chairs, three 10W LED spotlights, one 110V/5A socket and a waste basket, all rented.

Raw space is floor only. The kit says carpets, partitions and company name boards are required for all booths, so with raw space you hire a contractor to build them. You may use only one booth contractor, and materials must be flame-retardant.

Power. Every booth gets 110V/500W of electricity free. Extra power and water are at the exhibitor's expense.

Pillars. If a building pillar falls inside your booth, a deduction of US$250 to US$1,510 applies, depending on the hall.

Insurance. Exhibitors must arrange their own insurance, including fire, theft, flood and public liability covering natural disasters. The organizer is not liable.

Payment, refunds and allocation

The payment terms are strict, so read them before you register:

  • Deposit: US$1,000 per booth on confirmation, non-refundable. The deposit secures your place in the booth allocation meeting.
  • Balance: due within two weeks of the invoice issued after allocation.
  • Method: telegraphic transfer in US dollars only. Bank charges are paid by the applicant.
  • Cancellation: no refunds for cancellation or no-show. Exhibitors who break the rules may be excluded for two years.
  • Location: exhibitors can't request or be guaranteed a specific hall, floor or location. Submitting an application only completes registration and does not guarantee space.

Allocation priority depends on the number of booths, the date the deposit was received, the date the application was received and previous participation (TAITRA, 2027 application kit). In other words, an early deposit helps.

To apply, register on TAITRA's exhibitor system, which requires TAITRA membership first (COMPUTEX 2027 registration).

Registration and allocation dates

Step Date (2027 kit)
Exhibitor registration opens September 22, 2026, 10:00 Taipei time
Booth allocation (excluding InnoVEX) December 14–18, 2026
One-on-one matchmaking application April 2027 (to be confirmed)
Show June 1–4, 2027

The kit gives no hard application deadline. Since allocation takes place in mid-December and priority depends partly on when the deposit arrived, brands that want main-hall space should decide before then.

InnoVEX: the startup area

InnoVEX is the startup area within COMPUTEX. TAITRA says "Startups established after 2019 with ICT-related products or services are welcome to sign up" through innovex.com.tw (TAITRA, 2027 application kit). InnoVEX has its own application kit and is allocated separately from the main show. The organizer's Japanese release put InnoVEX 2026 at around 500 startups (COMPUTEX release, October 2026, in Japanese).

InnoVEX 2027 prices are not yet published. For reference, the 2026 prices were (InnoVEX 2026 quick guide):

InnoVEX 2026 Early bird (before January 15, 2026) Standard
Stand (1.5m x 1.5m) US$1,210 US$1,515
Raw space (3m x 3m) US$1,830 US$2,185
Shell scheme (3m x 3m) US$2,270 US$2,625

All 2026 options included 110V/500W basic power. Terms were a 30% deposit within 14 days, wire transfer only, and no refunds after February 10, 2026. The guide doesn't state whether tax is included. If the 2027 schedule follows the same pattern, early-bird pricing would end in mid-January, but check the 2027 kit before planning around it.

Other costs

The booth is the smallest predictable line. Add a booth contractor (for raw space), extra power, insurance, shipping of demo units, flights and hotels in Taipei, and staff time. That makes COMPUTEX's published rates a useful starting point, not a total. For how the rest of a budget usually splits, see what it costs to exhibit at an international trade show.

Who COMPUTEX suits

Good fit:

  • Computing hardware and peripherals: laptops, mini PCs, monitors, keyboards, docks, storage.
  • AI hardware: AI PCs, edge devices, AI computing and servers, robotics.
  • Gaming hardware: the Consumer & Gaming Products area covers gaming PCs, peripherals and accessories.
  • Components and supply chain: brands looking for ODM/OEM partners, component suppliers or Asian distribution.
  • Startups with ICT products that qualify for InnoVEX.

Weak fit:

  • Lifestyle, home, pet and beauty products without a clear computing or ICT angle. The organizer may refuse them, and the visitors are not there for them.
  • Brands looking for consumer feedback. COMPUTEX is a professional show.
  • Smart home appliances whose main buyers are appliance retailers. IFA or CES is usually more direct; see smart home and appliance trade shows in 2027.

For gaming hardware, compare COMPUTEX with consumer-facing shows such as Tokyo Game Show, planned for September 16–20, 2027 at Makuhari Messe (GameBusiness.jp, September 2026, in Japanese). See gaming hardware trade shows in 2027 and the wider consumer electronics trade show calendar for 2027.

Advantages and disadvantages

Advantages

  • Published booth rates in US dollars with VAT included, which makes budgeting easier than at most large shows.
  • The right audience for ICT: buyers, OEM/ODM partners and supply chain in one place.
  • Japan is listed first among visitor origins by the organizer, which matters if Japan is a target market.
  • InnoVEX gives startups a lower-cost entry with its own track.

Disadvantages

  • Strict terms: non-refundable deposit, no refunds for cancellation, USD wire transfer only, and mandatory insurance.
  • No choice of location, and allocation favors larger and earlier bookings.
  • Narrow category fit. Non-ICT products may be refused.
  • Crowded media moment. Announcements from large chip and PC brands compete for the same editors during show week.
  • Early June timing sits between spring launches and the autumn season, which may not match every product calendar.

How to Reach Japanese Media Around COMPUTEX

COMPUTEX has a Japan angle that most Western shows don't: the organizer listed Japan first among visitor origins in 2026. Japanese buyers and industry visitors make the trip in numbers. No figure is published for Japanese media attendance, so check which Japanese outlets ran COMPUTEX coverage in 2026 before you plan meetings.

Time zone. Taipei is one hour behind Japan (JST). Show hours of 9:30 to 17:30 in Taipei are 10:30 to 18:30 in Tokyo, so a morning announcement in Taipei lands during the Japanese working day. That makes same-day Japanese coverage practical, provided the Japanese release is ready. Send it to Japanese editors before the show under the same embargo as your English release.

Pick the right outlets. COMPUTEX news is read by Japanese PC, gaming and component readers, not general lifestyle audiences. Pitch the tech sites that cover PCs, peripherals and AI hardware; see the guide to Japanese tech media publishers and Japanese gadget websites.

Japanese specifics. Give the Japanese price, release timing and sales channel if you have them; Japanese editors covering a booth will ask. For keyboards, say whether a Japanese JIS layout is available. For wireless products, say whether the Japanese model has Japanese radio certification (Japan product compliance checklist).

Review units. The short flight from Taipei makes it practical to have units in Japan soon after the show. Offer them to the outlets that showed interest.

After the show. Large chip and PC announcements compete for attention in show week. A follow-up pitch in the weeks after, using "shown at COMPUTEX 2027" as the peg, can stand out more than a release on the busiest day. For the full sequence, see trade show PR in Japan: before, during and after and how to turn a trade show launch into Japanese media coverage.

Where Gloture fits

Gloture has no affiliation with COMPUTEX, TAITRA or the Taipei Computer Association, and we don't sell booths. For overseas computing, AI hardware and gaming brands exhibiting in Taipei, we prepare the Japanese release timed for Japanese editors, pitch the PC and gadget outlets that cover the category, and arrange review units in Japan after the show. Product PR in Japan starts from US$2,500. We don't guarantee coverage. To plan the Japanese side of a COMPUTEX launch, start a Japan PR Review.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a booth at COMPUTEX 2027 cost?

For international exhibitors, a 9 m² booth costs US$4,190 (raw space) or US$4,540 (shell scheme) in the Nangang halls, and US$3,340 or US$3,690 at TWTC, VAT included. A US$1,000 deposit per booth is due on confirmation and isn't refundable. Booth building, extra power, insurance, shipping and travel are extra.

Can startups exhibit at InnoVEX?

Yes, if they were established after 2019 and offer ICT-related products or services. InnoVEX has its own application kit and pricing; in 2026 a small stand started at US$1,210 with early-bird pricing. The 2027 prices are not yet published.

Is COMPUTEX a good show for lifestyle products?

Usually not. COMPUTEX is an ICT show, and the organizer may refuse products it considers irrelevant to the ICT industry. Lifestyle, home and pet brands generally do better at category shows or broader consumer electronics shows.
