Tokyo Game Show 2018
Ten days before the show, Gloture issued the Japanese announcement and took media interview bookings. During the show, from 20 to 23 September 2018, SMACH ran a main booth and a sub-booth, and its executives answered visitors’ questions over the four days. Afterwards Gloture published a Japanese report on the show, with the photos on this page.
Tokyo Game Show 2019
On 10 September 2019 Gloture announced that an upgraded SMACH Z would return to Tokyo Game Show 2019, from 12 to 15 September at booth 8-S05, where visitors would be able to play games on it, and again took media interview bookings. We have not found a report from the 2019 show itself, so this is shown as announced.
What we don’t claim
The public record covers the announcements, interview bookings, the 2018 report and Gloture as the Japanese contact. It doesn’t document visitor numbers, the coverage that followed or sales, and SMACH Z was still in development at the time, so we don’t state any results. Its overseas crowdfunding is not part of our crowdfunding examples.
